I had an emergency c section with my youngest ten years ago. I have hypochondria and panic disorder and I was NOT prepared emotionally for that outcome. It took all of thirty minutes though, and I didn't feel a thing during it. It's a small price to pay for such an overwhelmingly positive finale. Natural or assisted, you'll surprise yourself at just how well you handle it! ❤

That is cool. The Scottish government has a baby box program that they've had running for a few years. A relative got it and there's a ton of things in it. I think it was first done in Finland in the 1930's or something. Great idea!

Your video was really food for thought. I would have been mad too. The woman-hater troll who sent you that creepy message intended to a) frighten you and b) make childbirth out to be disgusting and/or terrifying. That was pure misogyny, sent to you in the guise of a warning. When I was a young pregnant mother, many, many years ago I noticed that occasionally people -- usually unpleasant people -- would say softly insulting things to me and to a friend of mine who was also pregnant at the time, always couched as advice or as joke. I threw one of them out of my apartment once, after she "joked" that if my friend's baby were to be born deformed she could always sell it to a circus. She walked backward, down the stairs, and out of my apartment, still protesting that it was just a joke. It was one of those times when I realized, in the moment, what was being said to me and to my friend -- not hours later -- and I threw the misogynist busybody out. As to your experience, I hope you're right, that some woman was having the guy on, that she knew the idiot would repeat the story and make an a-s of himself. But the fact that he sent the story to you, a pregnant woman, that he wanted to put that ugly mental image in your head tells me he intended to shock or frighten or insult you, or all of the above. The older I get, more and more often, my response to creeps like this is to call them out for their hatred of women, then tell them to fu-k off in no uncertain terms. Anyway, blessings to you @clisare - from an old lady in Canada. Having a baby is awesome, however the little one comes into the world. And I can tell you're going to be a spitfire of a Mom.

I don’t know what your stance is on practical jokes as a means of decreasing ego, but I find that when my dearest darling starts getting a bit enamored with himself I’m well served by dabbing a pea sized amount of shampoo into the bristles of his toothbrush and then letting it dry into perfect, karma delivering transparency 😀. I think it’s our responsibility as wives to make sure that our husbands, great as they are, don’t commit the offense of pride. ❤
